Shettles Method?

Anyone heard of this? Any truth in it?

You can determine baby's gender by timing intercourse in relation to ovulation?

DH and I dtd the day before and the day of ovulation, according to Shettles what gender would you guess? Lol

Worked for us. Got our donations in 7 and 5 days before O as I ovulated really late. We were pink swaying anyway, but didn't intend for the dates to be that far out. Worked for us.

For the day before and day of ovulation it could be either really, but Shettles would say that leans boy slightly. The boy sperm are faster so on the day of ovulation they can get to the egg sooner. If you dtd a few days before ovulation that sways girl as the boy sperm are faster, but don't live as long. The girls are slower, but live longer so the boy sperm would die out and leave the girls.

I'm curious to hear everyone else's results with this. We conceived from only one session of DTD, which was on ovulation day according to FF. (Of course, FF is only basing that on the fact that I got a positive OPK the day before intercourse. Who knows when I actually ovulated?)

My daughter would support the shettles method, sex a few days before ovulation. This pregnancy the only sex that could have caused conception was 4-6 days before ovulation...which would indicate girl..gender scan tomorrow will tell us!

I'm in the same boat. Only time that could have caused this pregnancy was 4-6 days before ovulation so I'm really leaning towards girl too! Excited to see what you find out tomorrow. With my first two who are boys, we were trying and therefore had sex on the day of ovulation which makes sense for them being boys.

I have two girls (so far!) and both are the result of having dtd 4-5 days before ovulation. I was testing both times but both times OH was away when I ovulated. With this one we dtd the day before and day of ovulation so maybe a boy?!

I know three people who wanted girls (all already had boys) and tried the shettles method. Two got girls and one got a boy. However the one who conceived her third boy was trying for 6 months and had said she sort of gave up so he may have been conceived closer to ovulation.
