Shooting pain????

Hey I was just wondering if anyone can help me figure out what is going on with my body. The other night I had intense shooting/throbbing/aching pain around my vagina and rectum. It was super intense for about five min, then it dulled a little but was still uncomfortable. I remember having this happen occasionally when I was younger but it has been a really long time. I googled this and people talked about experiencing this when on their period and constipated I am not on my period or constipated. Also some people talked about it having to do with endometriosis and others mentioned ovulation. Does anyone have any clue what I am talking about and what could be the cause.

If it keeps up, get checked out. I also have it very occasionally during my period, but not that intense and only for a short time. If it's really bad it can indeed be an endometriosis sign.

I had this last cycle a few days before my period, but not during my period. Are you due on soon?

Yes I should be starting today or tomorrow.
