Shopping early, jinx or smart??

I think its a big temptation but i too am worried, every little cramp and im like screaming hospital lol. I think i'll just stick to like nappies and wipes and maybe the electricals and maybe some clothes after 20weeks scan! I saw an "my daddy is cool" outfit had to walk off swiftly. I think its twins

I wouldnt say its a jinx..id just buy if something reeally catches your eye or its a special deal etc
i had everything early and then was so bored at the end of my pregnancy with no more shopping needed to be done lol
Also soo many people buy baby gifts once baby is here so i wouldnt go mad on the clothes etc
I didt have much ..now have too much,even if she wore a different outfit everyday she wouldnt get to wear them all before she was 3 months lol xx

but you probably shouldn't buy stuff before the 12 week mark, just in case.

We bought our crib and changer unit quite early because it was half price and was the one that i wanted anyway. I wasn't sure if we should be buying so early but i figured if i was going to miscarry buying a crib wasn't going to make that happen or stop it happening and we want children so even if the worst happened then we would want babies soon anyway. Plus i've kept it at my mum and dads so if anything happened its not in my face, although now we have a chest of drawers in the babies room with clothes etc in it.

Its a fun experience. I live in the UK and i'm 21. I think after the dating scan i'll start going nuts with my plastic lool hey one has to stay positive and not expect the worse. =)

I fink mostly its just worry that prevents some people from shopping early i was going to wait a lil longer, then i discovered that there is a place called 'Mothercare World'

Just loooked at your banner ur almost due goodluck!! And yeah we have our 12 week scan on monday so after everything is on that day imma go out and buy one outfit just to alleviate a little strain!

I waited until after the 12 week scan to buy anything. Even then I only bought a pair of jeans and a couple of vests. Waited until after the 20 week scan to buy most things. I didn't even order the pram until about a week before he was due lol.

ive bought odd bargins but nothing untill after 12 weeks as i had a miscarriage with my last pregnancy, but we've only really bought a pack of vests, a bouncer, and my sister and mum gave me my sisters old travel system she had with her youngest, and my mum has bought blankets and a top and tail bowl and OH mum and dad have been knitting, and bought me a baby monitor and are saving up and are doing me a big box of different things like vests, terry towel nappies, pins and cotton wool, and things like that really. but it is so tempting to buy things but my Oh wants to wait untill after ym 20 week scan to get anymore xx

I still haven't bought much, but my reason for buying things around this time is because of sales, like for labor day there was a 50% sale at 3 different stores, so I'm not going to pass that up.

Yeah thats a good idea actually towards end of the year and new year there will prob be some great sales and baby will be 6-7 months around that time.

Question: Miscariage normally would happen before 12 weeks in the major developmental stages, after that its just for the baby to grow and mature the organs so after 12 weeks should result in a significant reduction in the chance of MC right?

yeh thats right. the reason I waited until the 20 weeks scan and I'm guessing why others waited is because thats when you find out if everything is ok with the baby or if there is any 'abnormalities'.
