Should i ask my doctor for a blood test?

I had a scan for pcos and had no cysts i was told i didnt need a blood test after but i have been scanned 3 times and had blood tests before.

I have typical signs of pcos exess facial hair, body hair, overweight etc

They seemed to be confident i dont have it and i have lost 15lbs since i had my last scan but what i want to know is why the body hair its embarrasing surely they can find a reason why i have it? Anyone have a similar expierience x

It can't hurt to get blood work- have they looked at your thyroid or tested for any other causes other than PCOS? Can't hurt to check. No personal experience, sorry, hope it's sorted out soon.

You can have PCOS without having the cysts! I'd try to demand some tests - check your androgen levels, insulin, etc etc. My testosterone is a bit higher than average and I think that's what causes the facial hair, for example.
