Should I be worried? maybe TMI

I had an emergency section after 24 hours of natural labour just over 6 months ago. Since then, when me and OH have had sex, it's hurt a little as he's gone in (sorry!) and 9 out of 10 times I've bled very slightly afterwards, as if I've cut myself, just a bit of red blood when I wipe. The first two times were slightly heavier bleeding, like the end of a period, but no pain or smells etc....has anyone else had this? Should I go to the gp? I am slightly worried after recent stories in the news about cervical cancer and bleeding after sex being a sign, which I know sounds silly but I can't help but think the worst :/

This has always happened to me if it has been a while since we DTD. It happens at the opening, pain and a little tear and blood.

Is it at the opening?

I think so, I've never seen a tear but that's where it feels like it's come from, and you could be right because when we do it more often it does hurt less. But it didn't happen pre pregnancy?

Always best to see your GP for any unexplained bleeding. You'll kick yourself if you take advice off here and it ends up that you did need a doctor.

I usually would but my gut is telling me I'm fine and it's just a tear or graze. But my head is saying different because of all the stuff I've heard & read recently. I don't know if I'm looking for signs! I'll probably go for peace of mind.

It could just be a tear or graze but that's what the doc will tell you I had bleeding and it was a cervical erosion thing from the pregnancy. It wasn't fun being checked but it was such a weight off my mind knowing it wasn't anything scary.

I v had similar recently altho not painful. Just v light spots saw the nurse last wk and had my smear test which was due anyway, she didn't see anything of concern so now am nervously waiting for the results! If it feels like there is a graze there most probably is best to get checked anyway. If your smears are up to date and fine I wouldn't worry too much xxx

I'd go in- if only for reassurance. Our bodies can do some crazy stuff- let alone after pregnancy with all the hormones! lol. Mine did I had to use estrogen cream as the skin down below got all out of wack... fun stuff.

We get smears annually in the states- I've had them since I started having sex at 18... if anything, it keeps things "in check" and if issues do arrise, they are caught early. I'm sure your totally fine- could be simple as a small bacterial infection. I had that after LO was born too! Wow- I sound a reck!

Hey! Update - turns out it's just a small tear/graze from where my skin stretches when we dtd....I feel like a Virgin again lmao! Thanks for the advice girls!
