Should I get a private scan?

Hello everyone,
I am 10w5d pregnant today.
I have had several ultrasounds so far (5!).
My last scan was at 9w3d and next one is scheduled at 13w3d.

I am very tempted to go get a private scan at 12 weeks for a couple of reasons.
I have been bleeding on and off.
I cannot for the life of me find the baby's heartbeat using my home doppler
The reason I had so many scans was due to the bleeding and also the baby consistently measured behind (with the number of days it was measuring behind increasing)
My son's birthday party is a few days before my 13w scan and I want to enjoy it. Knowing me, I'll just be stressed till my scan.

I don't know if it's good to have so many scans, but would a li'l reassurance ultrasound hurt? And do they always report it to your doctor? I don't want to tick my doc off.

I don't have a lot of advise, but didn't want to read and run. I'm in the us, in my area they don't really do private scans. I do know that many women bleed throughout their pg and everything is fine. How behind is baby measuring? I do understand wanting reassurance, but too many aren't good. I hope I'd able to relax!! GL!!
