Should I Just Wait ??

I have been very dissapointed over the past week or two that I didnt go ahead and book a babybond gender scan .. My 20 week scan at hospital is on Wed, and ive just checked and babybond have an available scan for the morning !!

So my question to all you ladies is .. Should I just wait for my 20 week scan ?? Has any of you ladies had a babybond scan, Is there much difference in babybond's scans to the hospitals 20 week one ???

I wouldnt mind booking & paying for it today if you get a better scan or more details etc but dont want to waste £80 if its exactely what u get at hospital

Any suggestions or experience would be greatly appreciated xxx

i had my 20 week scan last month and they said they thought it was a baby girl,iam deseperate to know.so ive book baby bond scan for 4 weks time i be 28 weeks pregnat which is a nice time to see baby in the full.mines is £139 pound so i hope it worth it bt heard it is .it up to yourself really

I just cant make up my mind .. Wish I had more patience but feel like im going to burst with all the excitment of wether im pink or blue .. I know I only have days left to wait but the thought of being able to find out in the morning is taking over now lol !! xxx

Babybond are great! If it was not for them i would be buying all pink when i should be buying blue!

Did you notice a difference in you babybond scan .. like do they have more time for you etc?? Im really tempted to book this app for the morning before it goes xxx

They are great i went to one in southampton, and it was so relaxed! We went in and they are so kind and gentle, she was so nice it felt like she was apart of family enjoying the scan with us! If you are going for gender scan they are there to look at gender and they spend loads of time looking double check and more! If your baby is playing ball they will change to 3d and that is something else! we left finding out we were having a boy with potty shots and more pics! O also 3d pics which are great!
I had my NHS 20week scan a week later and she said GIRL and started to pack up, it was not till i said about my scan did she look again! Lone behold she then looked and said boy!
I felt unsettled and phoned babybond and they said to come in for free and they checked again for about 20mins and its defo a Boy!
Like i said before were happy for a girl and if i did not have babybond scan thats what i would buying for!

I still cant believe your story! Oh my god! That petrifies me! So glad Oh booked me a private scan pheww have you got the 3d pics to show? Im dying to find out what my little one will look like.. Ill be nearly 17 weeks xxx

Private scans are fab (I had one at 16 weeks) but with only a few days to go I would wait. Maybe save the money and have another scan at around week 28-30? I'm having my 4d tonight and it seems an age since I've seen LO!

i had a private gender scan at 16 weeks instead of waiting for my scan at 19 weeks. i am glad i did it because it is definitely more personal and you are only there for 1 reason - to see your baby. when you are having scans done at the hospital, the real purpose is to check growth, abnormalities, etc and i find it less enjoyable.

My babybond scan was amazing and the lady was really kind and didn't rush anything. I went at 17 weeks as my NHS scan wasn't until 21 weeks and me and my husband couldn't wait to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I'm really glad I went now as the 4D pictures we got from the babybond scan were much better and we got to see a lot more of our baby. As you would be booking the private scan only a few days before you 20 week scan I would wait and have your private scan later at maybe 28 weeks. Let us know what you decide x

Thank you ladies for your advice .. I have decided to just wait and have private scan a little later at around 28 weeks ..

I dont know why im so impatient this time but feel like im going to go mad if i dont find out team pink or blue, and as im so big everyone keeps asking 'oh do u know what your having' and continue to look super surprised as I answer hopefully find out at 20 week scan !!

But i really appreciate all your advice thanks for taking the time to reply .. And will be sure to share on Wed what my little bundle of joy is xxx

Babybond are fantastic, I had a scan at 28 weeks with my daughter and I'm having another one with this baby at 28 weeks again.

Personally I'd say with only a few days to wait until your nhs 20 week scan, I'd rather wait, save the £80 and instead put it towards a 4d scan with babybond later on in your pregnancy when you'll get to see baby much clearer. It's £139 but well worth it!

Im not sure, everyone thinks im having a boy .. And my gut is thats its a boy .. But I dont say that out loud incase im wrong lol !! OH is hoping for a boy as we already have a little girl but as long as its healthy I really dont mind at all ..

Just cannot wait to find out xxx

I had my private gender scan at 16 weeks, couldnt wait that extra 4 weeks!

As you only have a few days left, I would say wait....

Then book another private scan for later in the pregnancy, when your LO will look adorable in 4d (ive also had one of these at about 27 weeks & it was a fantastic experience, you get to see them doing so much at that stage )

Of course its totally up to you & I can understand why you'd be tempted

We were'nt able to find the sex of the baby at our 20 weeks scan so booked a baby bond scan for 25 weeks (2 weeks today). I felt a bit cheated at our 20 week scan, I didnt get to see much and as it was a late in the day appointment it felt like the ultrasound technician just wanted us out.

It's costing us £139 for ours and I've heard nothing but good thing about Babybond so I know that the extra few weeks wait will be worth it. x

I felt no need to have a private scan done. We had our scan at 18 weeks...they thought we were 20 weeks along. The scan took 1 1/2 hours. She showed us everything, was very nice and made the experience very enjoyable! Bought a pack n' play with the money we saved
