Kay is just over 3 weeks old, he tends to feed 4 hourly, apart from at night where sometimes he will go longer (night before he slept 8 hours) last night it was every 4.
He has 4oz at a time he is 9lb 5oz.
The last 5 days (roughly) he has got to about 4/5 at night and he gets SUPER hungry, last night he went all through 6 bottles to we went to bed at 10, each bottle varying between 2-4oz.

I also fed him this morning (4 oz) he was trying to eat the muslin cloth before i fed him lol, then after was still trying to eat it after completely finishing the bottle. He's settled down and sleeping but to be honest i dont think he was completly satisfied, but the fact that he's settled tells me otherwise...CONFUSED.com!!

Congrats on the LO!

You are doing great! He will let you know when he is hungry.

At 3 wks, my Anna was taking 3oz every 3/4hours -taking a max of about 18oz in a day.

I would up a bottle by an oz if LO is draining a few bottles a day:flower:

thanks, he tends to drain EVERY bottle lol...lil piggy, will up an ounce and see how that goes i think xxx

I always tried to make up a bottle that had around an oz more than she was taking (does that make sense?) For example, she started on 2oz bottles. When she had drained 2 or 3 of them in a row, I started making up 3oz bottles. When she started consistently draining them, I'd make up 4oz bottles... and so on.

As long as she was leaving some in the bottle, I'd always know that she'd had as much as she wanted :)
