My first ultrasound at 5-ish weeks showed TWO placenta sacks so my husband and I were freaking out. THIS pregnancy has been a shocker so to follow directly with a possibility of twins was just crazy. Last week I went back for a follow-up US that showed a big growth in one of the sacks and could see the yolk sack however the second sack looked as though it was dissolving--a pretty common occurrence. I measured at right at 6 weeks. THis week and for tomorrow's ultrasound I will be 7 weeks along so SHOULD hear a heartbeat for the first time. Still was too early last US so my dr. wants me to come back to make sure baby is okay. *I* need to hear heartbeat as well.

ANYWAY------ to my point. I feel like I am looking 12 weeks pregnant!!! Do you think it's because it's my third? I'm a personal trainer so workout every single day. Do you think it's because my body was trying to make twins at first?? Or my age? I have no idea why I am so much larger with this one when I workout all day every day, I'm a runner, etc. Maybe I just need to watch what I'm eating better....... I do seem to "cheat" more. But I'm sooooo hungry after I train for 3 hours--especially now that I am expecting!

Anyone experiencing this? Gaining fast?!

I'm 36, and pregnant with #4, and I showed earlier this time. I also gained most of my weight in the 1st trimester! I'm only up 14 lbs at 30 weeks now and my bump (bloat) evened out around 12 weeks. :)

I showed very early with my first pregnancy due to bloat (age 31/32). The second time around I showed much later (age 37) and am still right around my starting weight at 22 weeks. I'm not really doing anything differently. The pregnancies are just doing their own thing. Typically, woman do show earlier with each pregnancy, but I think a lot of it is just due to each pregnancy being different. Since you are fit, I doubt it has much to with age.

"Evening out" is what I'm hoping for! Lol! I'm only 6 weeks/4 days along so WOWZA at my weight by the end if the weight gain doesn't "even out". I'm just going to keep on movin' and enjoying this pregnancy that is still such a surprise and blowing my mind.....

I think you show a bit earlier with each pregnancy. The fact that you are working out regularly probably also means that you have less room to "hide" anything, so that can mean you show sooner, too.
