Ok, so maybe a pandemic is a bit extreme :haha: but every time I turn on Facebook, there are tons of posts about their children being ill with a sickness bug, taking down the whole house. This is not just in my area (Northwich) but have friends and family in Nantwich, Runcorn, Liverpool that have all been hit.

It hit our household last night with my youngest projectile vomiting exorcist style across the living room, just waiting to see which one the bug next takes down (really hope it is not Evan as he has MCADD and will end up in hospital).

So my question is, has anybody else had this sickness bug, and trying to see how widespread it is?

It's doing the rounds here in Chelmsford, Essex, missed us (so far, toch wood) but my FB feeds the same :/ Lots of colds/virus infections too, OH and El's were ill last week with something viral.

I'm in N.Ireland, as far as i know noone i know has come down with it, me and the kids had gastroenteritis in the summer though and it was hell!

Its def doing its rounds. NHS Lothian have a huge bed crisis as so many wards are shut with noro. My kids and OH had it last weekend. Only lasted 24 hours atleast :)

Yep,I think there is even a school shut down in Haringey Council where I work, saw a local newspaper headline along the lines of sickness bug closes school. Hope i avoid it but its unlikely as I work with kids!

Maybe it is a pandemic then. Jacob is drinking now but not eating.

It's doing the rounds here too, my lo had it but luckily the rest of us managed to avoid it, but we were washing our hands, clothes, toys, bedding etc non stop to try and prevent it spreading & it worked for us.

I've resorted to hiding status updates that contain information about how many times people or their kids have been sick, theres at least two a day! I'm sick phobic and don't want to read how many people around me are throwing up! :nope: I wish fb had a function where you can hide certain words!

Its doing the rounds here in Suffolk too! My whole house was hit by it last week and we have only just recovered :(

I don't know if you are on my facebook friend list Danielle, but I posted last night about the baby being sick. He's still not himself but I wont go into detail here, he has the bug like symptoms so you can imagine.

I don't know anyone else who has this around here though, so I'm hoping it may just be because he is teething (his back teeth are coming through now) as I don't want my other son to catch it if it is a bug. xxx

I'm sick with a cold and Alex is still going strong! No sickness bugs yet *touch wood* I'm trying to keep him away from kids right now because I've heard kids are getting it in my area too. Fingers crossed it skips us!

No Shellie, I don't have you on my FB, (only just gone back on so not many BnB people on there) but I have other friends in Liverpool, seems to be everywhere!!

Los pre school had to shut 2 days early for half term because all the teachers were ill, it has been really bad round here Derbys/Notts

Jacob is starting to pick up now, not being sick anymore and has just ate some toast, hoping it stays down. Probably been about 20 hrs since he started too.

Harvey's nursery have it going round,Harvey has started complaining of feeling hot so I hope its not the start of it.xx

Haven't heard of it in my area yet (luton). Hope it stays away, me & OH had it last year but thankfully LO never got it

Cx

we all had it last week brooke had it for a week me and my daughter were 12 hours sick once its really bad this year normall a dont catch nothing..

We're in newhaven, near Brighton East Sussex and we've all had it apart from my husband. I was literally up every hour vomiting the other night and felt absolutely awful in between. it was horrendous I couldn't even hold down water. The kids don't seem to have got it as badly, but theirs is lasting longer. My daughters been off school three days now, I think she's better though she's going back tommorow. My sons had it the longest, he's been sick nearly a week he was sick this morning and he's ill but it's not as intense as I had it but mine only lasted 24 hours.

hate this time of year so many bugs going round I think in part cos the kids go from cold outside then schools have the central heating up far too high so proper breeding ground for germs, esp when parents ignore the 48 hour exclusion & send kids in after 24

I'm in east lancashire and so far i have not heard of anyone complaining of a bug. I had one earlier thi year and it was so awful.
