Sick?!

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help me, my little boy is formula fed and is having about 5 7oz bottles a day but recently he gets up on a morning has his first bottle of the day and every morning this week he has been sick as soon as he has finished it, i don't mean a little bit of it, it's like projectile, so much so I've had to bath him this morning and change my bed as it went everywhere. He doesn't do this after any other bottle of the day so I'm a bit confused?!! I'm going to the clinic on Tuesday to get him weighed so I think I might ask my HV but any advice would be greatly appreciated until then.

I don't have any advice I'm afraid, but have you tried offering a smaller bottle in the mornings and evenings? Maybe offer 4 or 5oz and then a little more later if he's hungry?

I'd definitely ask the HV about it too, see if they have any suggestions xx

Try not to give him his bottle immediately when he wakes up. I change his nappy first, hold him upright for few mins & then give him a small feed (usually poops while feeding). After 1-2 hrs I give him another small feed.

oh that sounds like a good idea, I know I can't eat alot first thing so maybe hes the same. I'll try that from tomorrow see if that helps.
