Sickness - Help

Hi

Since switching to bottle milk when Maley was a week old, she sicks ALOT!

Now i thought it may be reflux but i was reading some of the other threads and xKATx said that he little boy is not distressed so it isnt refulx. Maley isnt in pain or distressed at all when she sicks and i dont think her wind is excessive. However i took her to the docs about 2 weeks ago and the doc told me to take her A&E even though she thought it was reflux. I ignored that as I though that was over the top. Since then the sickness is less but its still quite a bit. Not projectile but just realy watery all the time.

Can you get the gaviscon for babies over the counter? Is it regular gaviscon or baby gavison? Do i have to get it from my doc? What if she tells me off for not taking her A&E and doesnt give me the gavsicon??

Is there a walk in centre you can go to, instead of A&E? If there isn't just go there, if thats what doc advised. Alternatively, is there another doc you can see at your practice?
Hope your LO gets better soon, it's horrible to see isn't it.

Most babies that have slight reflux arent in any pain ..max was diagnosed with it at 6 months because like yours he had no pain or anything but always spitting up even 3hrs after his last feed .. your LO may have silent reflux and there are things like gaviscon and zantac that are good but may want to check with the dr whats the best option .
