Side effects of progesterone?

Does anyone else have bad side effects from progesterone? I had sore boobs for 2 weeks when i started on it, but now i have major mood swings and what feels like depession. the day i started it i am so tired all the time...I have been taking 2 pills oraly at night before bed which zonks me out right away...

I have been taking the vaginal suppositories - one in the AM and one in the PM. The two biggest symptoms I've had are vivid crazy dreams, and thirst. There was also some bloating the first few days.

I had no side effects with the suppositories. Maybe ask if u can switch?

I had tiredness, bloating, wind like i've never had in my life ( I was glad my dh was away, it was that bad!) and crazy dreams too. This was on the suppositories

Also, I've read that if you take the medication vaginally the side effects are not as bad as if you take them orally. Try talking to your doctor about it?

I take the shots and I have not yet had side effects from them. The shots r not fun to take tho, they are huge!

It pinches when it goes into ur lower back/butt area n then u have pain in the area but it's not horrible u get used to it. Don't worry it's not as bad as I though after I saw the huge needle u don't feel it going in just a pinch sometimes.

I use the Crinone vaginal gel and the most noticeable side effects are cramps, sore boobs, and feeling very warm. I think it makes me a bit cranky too lol.

For the past 2 nights i have had horrible dreams where i wake up in a panic and it's hard for me to get back to bed. The odd thing is that i can remember ever detail of the dream. Maybe now that i am pregnant and still taking the progesterone that is the reason. Thanks for sharing!

I think everyone is different, and for me every cycle with the Progesterone Suppositories is different. This month on my 2 wk, I am a bit psycho crazy... not in a good way, there have been a lot of apologies given out by me I also get really blue or sometimes a case of the mean reds....I get the occasional headache and I am a little tired sometimes. One good side effect is they make my thighs thinner! Seriously, my skinniest week is always the week after i O when I have started the Prog.

It is hard to gauge where all this is coming from...is it depression of infertility, hormone flux or a crazy combo...

I had some wildly vivid dreams while on Prometrium. One night, I even woke both my husband and myself up from laughing so hard in my sleep!

Headaches!!
I take my tab at night and havent had any other side effects..I woke up in the night once and had a v hot flah but I think I must sleep though the rest of the effects! On my 4th/5th day of taking it horrible headache that just wouldnt shift. Aslo a bit cranky but I think mor due to headache than anything else!

I am taking prometrium suppositories and start mine at 3 dpiui. I usually get terribly sore boobs, bloating, vivid dreams. It is lots of fun!

Assume your taking it to induce your period? I didn't have periods so my doc just told me to start it whenever xx

No, in my case my cycles are pretty regular so I get my period just fine. It's in order to stay pregnant. I have a history of early mcs and they give me prog. to support the pregnancy.

I have heard different days. I usually take it from 7 DPO - 14 DPO but I have heard otherstake it from 3 DPO (or 3 DPIUI) so I'm just curious if I should start earlier than 7 DPO.
