Obviously I am quite single, but a male friend of mine wants to begin dating. I don't know how I feel about it because of my LO. Could someone share how they knew they were ready to even just start dating?

If you don't know how you feel about it maybe it's worth while holding off for a while?

I started seeing someone when my son was almost a year old, I felt ok about it. I did finish things with him almost a year ago because he wasn't as nice as I thought.

It just kind of happened for me without planning it. Well I did go out on the pull on purpose but that was just for fun, but then I ended up going out with a friend of a friend even though I wasn't intending to start a relationship. So I didn't really think I was ready but it turned out I was. Not sure if you can really know something like that til you try.

If you have doubts, I would wait a while. There's no rush. :)

You never really know. It'll just feel right or wrong if you start dating. I met my OH online & it felt right from the start.

Just give a go, go for a meal or whatever. Listen to your heart (:

i don't know, i think you're ready if you aren't holding onto things with the ex or anything. If it's only because of LO, then if you're going on dates without LO around, then it wouldn't affect LO in anyway at all.

However, if it's that you're more worried and really just don't feel ready, maybe wait a bit, you could be more vulnerable.
