Single Parenting?

I wasn't going to be but i split up with his dad when he was 3 months. It didnt make that much difference cause i basically looked after him myself anyways. I live on my own now and it is hard sometimes i wish i had someone to watch him while i had a minuites peace to have a shower or something but as long as you have family & friends for support im sure it'll be fine.

myself :) was with my baby's father for over half a yr, he left when found out i was pregnant. wanted me to have an abortion and hes now living w someone else who had no idea.

stay strong, we can do this :)

i am a single parent, its hard but its rewarding, stay strong!

I was a single mommy to my son for a long time, me and his father were only together because of Taye, so it was much better when we split up.

Its not an easy thing at all, i applaud anyone who is a single parent! Its alot of work but very rewarding to.

im guna be a single mummy...but babies dad will be around to help just not in a relationship with me.

he cheated on me and i finished with him and finally got over him...then like 19 weeks later i found out i was pregnant with his baby...then all the feelings came rushing back :(

X

I'm not a single parent but I'm not with my FOB which makes things hard, but thankfully he is still around and sees his son everyday! I admire any one who is a single parent though, I'm sure it's really tough but rewarding at the same time. Good luck! :flower:

me and my boyfriend were together over a year, then we split up. he moved like two hours away. then i found out i was pregnant, told him and he acted as if he wanted to be involved. he got a new girlfriend and stuff. we didn't really get along, then his mum found out. she phoned my mum to say they want nothing to do with the baby and all this stuff. haven't spoken to him since.

I'm gunna be a single mummy in january, gunna be hard but i know Scarlett is better off without FOB :)

i think the worst thing about being a single parent is when you go to pick up clothes for baby and realise it says 'daddys little man' or something like that.. hahaha, soo annoying.

or that so many pregnancy articles and magazines emphasize the fathers role so much..or the husbands..

yeeah, like get your partner involved by doing this or this. i am like hmm, is it wrong if i get my friends to massage my bump with oil? hahaha. they would probably be creeped out. i think there should be more articles about doing it on your own. everyone is always saying they want time to themselves just so they can have a shower, eat etc...

Agreed! When me and fob split up I threw everything daddy related in the bin

does anyone watch teen mom? i was watching it the other day and farrah went to meet this boy, and he just didn't seem interested because she had a kid. i actually do feel like that is quite common with boys.

im a single mummy :D i chose to be. i new alice would be better off without him and left him when i was 8 weeks pregnant. it was very stressful to begin with only because he was makin things difficult. but now hes not even bothered he saw her twice before she was a month old and shes nearly 9 months now. i wouldnt have it any other way. like somebody already said it is hard but very very rewarding. x

I'm a single mummy. I was always going to be one considering I was never in a relationship with FOB. I love being a single mummy. I can do everything the way I want to do things without having to make mutual decisions with someone else. Being a single mummy is very rewarding. :)

Oh my god, YES! That pisses me off so much!

yeah, i guess i am just so para about being a single mum cause i am so skint and still live with my parents. i think i'll apply for housing soon, and hopefully get a house of my own when himself is like six months old. :) there are no empty houses where i live so thats why i am planning ahead..

I'm actually in a very complicated situation

father moved across the country, and he wants the baby very much, but doesnt want to move back here, so he's trying to get me to give the baby to him while I finish the school which is out of the question
