Does anyone have any recommendations for a good waterproof mattress protector?
Rio is quite good through the night and has only ever had a couple of accidentss up until recently. We went to the doctors for a separate issue and he's needing to drink a lot more fluid than usual, including at bedtime so a couple of times now he has had an accident around 4am so I'm looking to get a decent protector 'just in case'.
I had one from silent night for our bed when I was pregnant with Rio because I was paranoid my boobs would leak through the sheet and make the mattress smell :haha: (they never did lol) but it was rubbish and we took it off after 2 night because the plasticky sound kept us awake so I don't want another like that. I don't know why I've waffled so much lol but basically does anyone have any recommendations please?? :flower:

I just got one in asda. It was £3 i think but has worked wonders. Only thing i found was it took a few nights for ds to adjust as it is of course plastic underneath so makes noise when he moves. Now hes used to it though and doesnt bother him at all. Xx

I just used the throw away ones. They were quite big so covered most of her mattress. We just chucked them in the morning and replaced it. There's about 7 in a pack for around £4. With the amount of water DD drinks I thought would go through it, but they're great.

May sound odd but some shops (pound land, home bargains) have puppy training sheets. They are exactly the same as the bed ones for humans but are far cheaper. They are just soft square pads that soak up liquid and are perfect for a single bed. No noise, soft and disposable ::-)

I've brought ones in B and M which has have a Terry towelling top so u don't get the plastic noise. It was £5 I think.

Dd's mattress is from IKEA so it's a different size tonother single mattresses. We bought a towelling mattress protector from them which has a plastic-ish backing that isn't noisy. Dd had a nosebleed whilst it was on & the mattress came out unscathed.

We've tried several and the ones that work the best are from IKEA. The biggest disadvantage to those though is that they shrink in the dryer and take a while to dry if you hang them up, but they're the best protection we've found yet (we've had the same ones for years)

I found a brilliant one from Dunelm. It doesn't rustle like the cheaper ones do (it is £12 but worth it) and you can't tell it is on the bed. Sometimes the cheaper ones make the bed really hot but this one is great

We got ones off amazon that are awesome! They were a little pricier, but are all cloth, and the top is backed with a plasticy material. They don't crunch when the kids roll around and do the job well.
