Hi girls
My sister as just this second told me that she is pg, i'm over the moon for her but there is a part of me that wants to scream, she wasn't TTC and it has come as a bit of a shock.
Now i feel bad for feeling jealous of her, does that make me terrible?

You are not terrible at all. I havea very similar situation. I told myself that if I wasn't ttc or if I was already pregnant that I would react with only happiness so I try to keep that thought in my mind - even though I feel anger, jealousy, and sadness for myself.

Take care and best wishes!

No way does it make you terrible....it's a completely natural feeling & one I have had to try to learn to deal with, (not always very well)!! TTC mixes up so many emotions, especially if you're struggling to conceive & some people manage it so quickly & easily, even when they're not trying!! Of course you're happy for your sister, but don't beat yourself up for feeling a little jealous or envious it really is normal in this situation. You're only human!!

Take care & good luck

ina,
I felt the same way for my sister she is only 23 and got preggers with a fling and this is her second. I even cried when I found out mainly becuz she didnt even tell me I heard from someone else in the familiy they all were keeping it secret from me because they knew I would be heart broke. I let her have it for not telling me. Totally ruined my christmas then not long after she was having complications and I felt like it was my fault that I had wished it on her. She was on bed rest like the whole first 6 mo. Happily everything turned out ok and she is due the 21st of this month. I am happy for her but still sad for me.

:( i know how this feels. I have seen two sister in laws get pregnant and have their unplanned babies all in the time i've been ttc. I've also seen many friends get pregnant and have their babies in this time as well. It's easier to focus on you being happy for them rather than focusing on your inability to conceive. I try really hard just to think about the amazing life they will be bringing to this earth and focus on the hope that that will be me one day too.
Chin up, my friend, and baby dust.

Thanks girls, it's nice to know that i am not alone and that other poeple also feel this way. My sister was worried about telling me and i tried to tell her i'm happy for her, but everyone seems a little funny around me when talking about it, but hopefully it will be my turn soon.
 to all of you

ina,
My sister had her baby yesterday I was so happy and all I could focus on was my beautiful little niece. Its weird I didnt even feel a bit of jealousy.

Not at all! The day we got hubbys test results, we wentout to dinner to take our minds off it. The greeter at the door was heavily pregnant, and our waitress was heavily pregnant. Its like twisting the knife.

I am currently in a clomid cycle (100mg) cd 5-9. I am trying to stay sane and not get my hopes up too high...to add to my insanity, me very irresponsible sister just announced she is pregnant with her third baby from a one-night-stand.

It hurts...I am not jealous I am just so so hurt. Now I have to watch her go through a miracle I feel some higher power believes I am not worth of. I have no idea how I am going to do this...I have watched many women close to me go there their 9 months and nurture beautiful babies...I don't think I have the strength to do it again.

I totally empathize with you. It is hard to know if you can even continue to try. Please never think that you are not worth it. I have been ttc for 3 years and nothing and as devastating as it is I hold on to the fact that I am worth it and that it just isn't going to all happened as I thought it would.

Take care

It's normal to feel jealous hun. Hope you see that beautiful bfp soon! xx  I can empathize with you too. My sister in law is due any day now and it kills me. This is her 4th child and it is no problem for her to get pregnant each time (she even times it to the month she wants to have the baby!) My sister also has 4 kids (her youngest is almost 2) and I worry that they will all be too old by the time I have a child. I want my kids to have cousins to play with.

Thank you Blue12....I am just passed 3 years myself with my hubby. I am worthy...you are right.

Watching someone as close as your own sister go through something that just seems out of your reach is tough....seeing her reminds me of my lack-there-of.

I have been there in great spirits for my sisters last 4 preggies...yeah, she had 2 abortions....I can't do it this time (she is keeping her baby this time)...this will be her 3rd baby.

Mahogany I know exactly what you mean when watching someone so close to you have something you want.

I posted a thread in the ttc called "I just want to belong". It is like being a kid and not being part of a club that you so badly want to be in. As a kid the social world is your whole world and it is devastating to be left out, that is just how this feels.

Where are you at in this process right now?
