size 2 teats?

We changed to FF when Finley was 1 week old, he only takes 1oz a feed and wants it 1- 1/2hourly day and night, the HV said to change to size 2 teats but they say 3months+, is it too early?x

My little one is 7 weeks old and has been on size 2 teats from about a week old. He has been fine with them - I ignored the fact they say 3 months plus! Hope this helps x

Agree - don't worry about the age limit. Try it and if your baby gets on with it then you're good to go!
My LO started using them at about 6 weeks and I wish I had started earlier.

Do get them -- my LO was in NICU for 13 days (I had pre-eclampsia) and the first two days he was on C-PAK (wet on lungs, which is common with emergency c-section) and the other 11 (growl!) days because he 'wasn't feeding enough' -- we changed to the next size and he came home the next day -- and is a little piggo!

we started using the number 3 teats for my 10 weeks old - it says 3 months plus on them but found he kept being sick - really want to try them again this week as he is not taking enough milk

I just put my 2.5 week old the next size (3+months) he was getting really bad wind and taking an age to finish a bottle, falling asleep without finishing then waking up 20 mins later hungry.
Sol started using them last night, he finished a bottle in 20 mins and I stop every 1oz for a burp and he seems to be much more content and less windy. Go for it, worth a try xx

what are the pluses to moving up ? like what does it help? mines 7 1/2 weeks. eats every 2 hours will only take 2 oz then shes done

Have you tried vari flow? I use the tommee tippee vari flow from about 6 weeks as LO was falling asleep halfway through a feed! They made a huge difference!

oh i should pick some up takes her a long time with her formula bottles, we mostly use tommiee tippee

the age limit is just a guideline, my boy was on size 2s from a few weeks old. and he has been on size 3 which say 6+ since about 3 months, and now i have had to pierce another hole in them as he is getting bored of them aswell and wouldnt drink them properly

Finally managed to get the teats today, Boots and Asda were out of stock wednesday but they had them in today and so far so good!
Finley had 3oz at 3pm, then 2oz at 6pm, and 2.5oz at 8:30pm, so much more spaced out as he was only having half an oz or so hourly before xx

oh they help with spacing out bottles too? mine goes every 2 it's annoying and takes forever to eat.

I think i spoke too soon! lol, Finley has only been having 1oz every hour since 9pm, its like he is still in cluster feed mode when we were breastfeeding
