My 6 year old son has had a patch of skin cancer removed from his leg today. It's still not certain if it has spread any further, yet.

It's so rare for young children to have it, I just feel like there's something I've done wrong, or something I could have done better. Does anyone have any experience?

No experience but I'm sure it's not your fault *hugs*. Unless you've been putting him on a sunbed for most of his life.... Some people are unlucky. My grandmother died of lung cancer but she didn't smoke. 1 in 4 (or might be 1 in 3 I can't remember) people get cancer in their lifetime.

I really hope it hasn't spread I can't imagine how worried you must be xxx

:hugs: You haven't done anything wrong hun I hope that's the last you have seen of it xx

Thankyou.
Still waiting for a hospital appointment to find out whether or not it has spread.
