Hey ladies!

My little ones have reflux like their older brother did and we used a clevamama sleep positioner to help through the night, and we now use this in one of the moses baskets and folded up fleece blanket in the other to form a wedge, it is not spongy and literally just raises the head!

Well I've just been looking at getting another one to replace the blanket and found lots of bad things about them! most from before we had one and the clevamama one is still available to buy, but i'm a little unsure whether to replace with the clevawedge instead as the issues seem to be having the cushion sides and babies sliding down or rolling over, I don't see how they can roll in them though as you're supposed to adjust the sides to keep them in the same place and arms above sides! But i don't know whether to change to the wedge with harness as these are supposed to be safer. but at the same time I don't want to spend £60 on 2 of them to only last 3 months, I know how that sounds but when you have two of everything to buy it gets a tad expensive and we have to be realistic about this!!

What would you ladies do? sleep positioner or clevawedge?

Thanks xx

My DS had reflux and I used to prop the end of his moses basket mattress up using the foam newborn insert wedge out of the maxi cosi car seat that we had. I have read a lot of stuff about sleep positioners being unsafe so personally I wouldn't use them. I think the wedge looks really good but I agree it's expensive, especially if you need to buy two. I wonder whether you could get quite a bit of the money back selling it on second hand though? My DS used to spend the last part of the night in his bouncy chair which is certainly not recommended but it was the only way he would settle. We also used to co-sleep a lot, and although he was flat, he seemed a lot more settled that way.

Thanks Hun, I had wondered if we could sell them on! Never know what to do for the best! You're told to put twins together at first to sleep but when they're too big to fit in the same basket and your room isn't big enough for a cot it's not that easy! We have breathing monitors in the baskets so this helps with a bit of peace of mind. I think they're starting to comfort feed during the night now as they've both been really sick, a good couple ounces came back up, and they've not cried for more after! Think we need to sleep train them! But anyway that's off topic! Lol I really don't know which way to go, positioner or wedge, or something under mattress?! Xx
