I'm 15w6d and have a bump but it's more above where baby is located. I'm able to sleep comfortably on my tummy and am questioning whether baby is growing properly. My next appointment is December 31st. Any other ladies still able to sleep on your stomach?

Hi hun, I'm over 17wks and can still comfortably lay on my tummy (unless she's particularly high up but that's rare). I was also worried about growth but I had a scan at 16+4 and she was perfect :) so I would say that your baby is probably just still snuggline down low like mine is. She's barely out of my pelvis most of the time as that's usually where I feel movement. X

I actually get really nervous if I wake up partly on my stomach. I worry about squishing baby! I try to use a pillow to prevent rolling over onto my stomach but sometimes my body gets halfway there, so it's like my side/stomach area against the bed.

I'm 23 weeks and still sleeping on my stomach. It's fine to do it for as long as it's comfortable.

I'm a tummy sleeper and only now is it starting to get uncomfortable. Mainly because she kicks up a fuss if I roll onto it :haha:. Don't worry about squishing baby or growth. Sleep however your comfortable :).

27 weeks tomorrow and still sleeping on tummy. I slept on tummy with my son till about 34 weeks x

31 weeks here, and still sleeping on my stomach when I can! If it's comfortable, it's okay. Sometimes baby starts having a major wriggle, so then I'll move onto my side. When on my tummy I tend to put my leg right up, so my leg takes most of the strain/weight. :)

My doctor told me that if you're comparing apples to apples, it's safer to sleep on your tummy while you're pregnant than it is to sleep on your back. I slept on my tummy until about 30 weeks with my first and still sleeping on my tummy now at 24+4. This baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead as well so sleeping on tummy will not impact the growth of your baby.

I'm still sleeping on my tummy, too, and like a PP, I usually bend one of my legs up and it sort of props me a little. I would have a hard time falling asleep otherwise!

Thanks ladies for your reassurance on this. I'm a bit paranoid about baby growing properly and healthy due to my other two children having growth issues while I was pregnant and the lower part of the stomach is still kinda on the flat side while upper part is more of a bump....its been ten years since I was last pregnant so I've kinda of forgot what its like. Glad to know that I'm not alone on being able to sleep on tummy and will do so until it gets to uncomfortable

Me too and I'm twenty three weeks. Doctor said it was okay but I am working on it. I know those days are coming to an end and he definitely prefers that I sleep on my side. He kinda wakes me up rolling around until I adjust myself so he is comfortable.

My first trimester class, they told me no sleeping on my tummy after 14 weeks!! I always sleep on my tum so that was hard. I did my best for a while, gave up, and now that my stomach is bigger, it's uncomfortable to sleep on it. So I think your body will tell you when it's time to stop. Women have been having babies forever.. I doubt our grandmothers worried about if they slept on their stomachs or not.. and mine had 10 kids!

I'm a tummy sleeper definitely guilty of that.. it's the only way I feel comfortable I heard untilmore 3rd tri and a lot bigger to try not to .. I think I'll try to stop more as soon as I have a bigger bump as I think I'll just feel cautious

I'm a half tummy/half side sleeper. She moves around so much if I sleep directly on my stomach so I cant do that anymore!

I slept on my stomach up through 2nd tri, and early 3rd tri, then I found it more comfortable to sleep on my back. Your body will wake up long before there is any problems that arise.

My husband gets up well before I do so he rolls me over and props me with wedges and pillows if I'm on my belly. Half the time I don't even wake up. That will get harder once I'm REALLY pregnant. He'll have to put some muscle into it..haha.

That's so sweet of him
