I noticed the whole situation with the member Eabha'sMum (sorry if it's not meant to be spoken about or anything, I'm still pretty new here) and I thought it was terrible.

I understand that obviously some people are so desperate to have some form of life that they make up things like that and invade forums designed to help us, and then kinda ruin that for us iykwim.

I am now terrifed to upload any pictures of my scans (some of which are already on bebo and I am desperate to remove them), my teeny-tiny excuse of a bump, and eventually my son, to anywhere online. And I noticed that someone else has this fear also (and probably many more).

But I was wondering, if someone got a hold of your photos, and joined a site such as this, and then you were to later join - how could you prove that you are who you say you are?

Would the mods see you and think that you're the fake, or what? Luckily I've never been "faked" *touch wood* but now I'm really scared of this happening.

I think I may just keep my baby pics to myself and only let people who visit me see my baby (but at the same time I really want to show him off when he arrives).

Does any of that make sense lol? Sorry for the long post xx

ETA: Whoa, she was a faker? She faked that she had the baby as well?
I missed so much while on vacation!

I don't know the full story but I saw a post saying that she wasn't who she said she was and had been lying the whole time, so now she has been banned.

I was really shocked, because I thought she was like, one of the big members, iykwim, like one of the girls who's been around here for ages, as opposed to me (only been here a couple of months, tops) xx

if you're worried about your photos you could label all of them across the middle with your user name so that nobody could claim them as their own, also I'm sure the admins would be helpful if somebody thought that somebody is posing as them on the forum

She actually hadn't been around for TOO long. She joined after I did.

I'm shocked to the degree she took the faking though, that's disgusting. She got all of us to invest emotionally in her situation. She had an awfully intricate maze of lies she had to keep straight, too. I do remember thinking it was odd that she knew the sex so early (didn't she claim she found out at like..10 weeks and it was definite?).


I'm oddly upset by her faking. She seemed like a nice girl.

Yeah, and someone posted saying about how she had used pictures of a baby in an incubator as her display pic and stuff, and I was just disgusted beyond belief. I mean, obviously I know that there are liars around, I went to school with literally tonnes of girls who'd kid on the were pregnant, then a few days later "oh I miscarried" and stuff and found that dispicable, but then for someone to come on here and lure everyone in and post pictures and stuff. Eugh.

Makes me kinda angry, but I suppose that's to be expected? xx

Huh. I searched for her threads but I think the admins must have deleted them.

Liars and fakers definitely exist. I really can't get over how.. through she was in her lying though. Now of course that we know she was faking I can think of red flags but I really didn't catch on at all during the time.

Engagement? House? Boyfriend? Pregnancy? All a lie? Crazy.

but what happend was she posted that she had given birth at 24+6 even posted pictures of 'her' babyand a birth story but it's all been removed by mods xx

I will probs still upload mine too when bubs comes but put my username straight through them.
Its very wrong but i presume this will get locked cos its been dragged out too long. I know she shouldn't have done it but she must have been a sick girl/ women.

Yeah, I feel very scared to do it now incase it gets stolen. Obviously there's a very small chance that your photo will be the one that gets stolen, but I'd hate to think there was someone out there using my pictures as their own to get some kind of sick kick out of invading a forum. *shudders* xx

you weren't the only one ... i actually updated for her when she "went into labour" i feel like such a fool because of it now

i know we aren't meant to talk about banned member etc but i just can't believe someone could do something like this, and now looking back knowing what we do there were odd things that should have flagged up but you never know with some people i guess. I'm just glad we found out now, rather than in a few more months.

Dont let people like this ruin things for you girls! Just because this person did it doesnt mean it happens often enough for us to get worried about it. Watermark your photos if you want to but dont let peoples lies stop you from being proud of your babies, I certainly wont be xxx

I'm kinda curious as to how long 'she' was guna keep it up for.

There were many a nights i'd sit up thinking about how well she was taking n dealing with it all.
My family have been through some of the things she was claiming was happening to her.
