Normally my little man is extremely active throughout the day from the moment i wake hes kicking & moving. but today (woke up about 8am its now 9pm) i havent felt him move or kick once, this is really unusual for him & ive waited til now to give him time to but now im really starting to get worried, any tips on what i should do or could do to try get him moving or should i be ringing hospital??

I'm not trying to worry you or anything hun as baby's do have their lazy days but I would definately give your midwife a call. She will probably advise you to lie down on your left and drink a really cold glass of water (I always put ice in mine) or a fizzy drink to wake baby up. If you don't feel baby move after half hour to an hour then ring her back so she can advise you further.

I had to go in for monitoring at 24 weeks as Laila was having a very lazy day! As soon as I got there and was put on the monitors there was no stopping her! Don't worry yourself anymore hun and give them a call! Good luck :hugs: x

Although at 26 weeks they do not advise doing kick counts and lazy days are normal i would suggest calling you doctor anyways and just double checking. Never hurts to get checked just in case. Try to lay on your side and drink a fizzy drink. I hope these ideas help and keep us updated!

I would call just to check! Although they tend to say to not 'kick count' till 28weeks I think it is.. But call to put your mind at ease, every baby is different! Hope all is okay x

Around 27 weeks they start running out of room, but I'd call the midwife just to be sure :flower:

Drink some cold water or orange juice and lay on your left side for about half an hour. If he doesn't move, I'd call your midwife :flow:

I always find sugar wakes my LO up, drink some Lucozade or something and see if that kickstarts his wiggling! If you're worried though I'd give your midwife a call or go and get checked out, better to be safe than sorry. I'm sure you're LOs fine though :)

I would suggest cold water or something sugary...but if you honestly haven't felt him move ALL day, then you need to go in. Babies have lazy days...and I'm sure that's what's going on...but you dot wanna risk snuggle by waiting an entire day for him to move. My LO moves constantly...so if he was quiet for even 1-2 hors is check on it. Its just best to stay on top of it to make sure everything is ok in there:flow:

thanks everyone, I rung my midwife the next day as still hadnt felt him and she sent me to ADU for monitoring, he was fine juat being a lazy bum! Hes back to his usual self now :) .
