Smoky sausage casserole (serves 4):
12 pork sausages
6 rashers rindless streaky bacon, cut into bite sized pieces
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
½–1 tsp hot chilli powder
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes
300ml/10fl oz chicken stock
2 tbsp tomato purée
1 tbsp dark brown muscovado sugar
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
2 bay leaves
1 x 400g/14oz can butter beans or mixed beans
salt and ground black pepper
Bung it all in- I don't brown any of it. Cook on low for about 6 hours.
Spag bol
I brown onions and mince then bung in the slow cooker with a can of tomatoes or 2 (depending on how much I'm making) and peppers, courgette, mushrooms, dried mixed herbs, a handful of fresh basil leaves, glug of red wine, squeeze of tomato puree and a couple of bay leaves. Wack it on low for about 6 hours.
Chilli
As above but with mince, onions, 2 cans of kidney beans (I love em!), chopped red and green peppers, a fresh chilli sliced, 2 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp paprika. I add 3squares of dark chocolate an hour before its done.

Leg of turkey
tin of pineapple chunks
chopped red and yellow peppers
1 onion
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp turmeric
Fry the onions and spices. Then wack it all in the slow cooker for about 6 hours on low.
