My daughter is 5 weeks old and on SMA Gold. Shes take 4/5 ounce bottles every 3 hours but starts to get grouchy after 2 hours of sleep. Im just wondering if its okay to move her onto the SMA Extra Hungry Infant Milk at just 5 weeks old?? Has any other mums had the same problems??

xx

I can't help all that much with this, as my daughter was breastfed at 5 weeks, but what's your sleeping routine like? My daughter always needed to be fed at midnight and then again at four or five am at 5 weeks, so she might just be a snacky baby. We gave Mog Hungry Baby milk for the first time at around three months, and had no problems, but it says on the tin that it's suitable from birth. We still use it for her midnight feed (she dropped the early feed at around six weeks and now sleeps until eight or nine).

I would say try not to give it before 8 weeks, 12 weeks if you can. It can be very heavy.....it really didn't agree with Earl.

Have you tried 'tanking up' on a evening, or dream feeding? Do you have a bedtime routine/set bedtime that shows it's sleepy time?

With both my boys i had to put them on this and it worked straight away. My youngest is 3 weeks and i just put him on it cuz he was eating 6oz every 2 1/2-3 hours and always seemed hungry and now he sleeps 7 hours solid through the night. Every baby is different tho it's really up to what you think is best. xx
