Well, it wasn't small when it happened, but it's small now.
I was at a client's office and went to go to the bathroom and when I wiped there was blood, lots of blood! I immediately started to panic. So I called the Dr. thinking they would just tell me that it's normal spotting and to call back if it continued. Instead she told me to hurry and come into the office. I was about 45 mins. away (without traffic, something that can be VERY hairy here in San Francisco area). I practically ran out of the office and drove like a mad woman. I got there about 30 mins later. Anyway, by time I got there the bleeding had stopped he did the heart doppler and after about 5 mins of pressing and moving it around with a worried look he got a big grin. HE HEARD A HEARTBEAT! I say he because I couldn't hear it, I could only hear mine. He did an exam and he said everything looked fine. WHEW! DH and I both started to cry (okay I'd been crying since I left my clients).
What a roller coaster. I took the rest of day off and am recuperating from the stress. He said my chance of miscarrying now is only about 2%.
