Well the Smyth's catalogue came through the post today, and Ava decided to ransack it and write a list.

I think I may do away with the karaoke I'm getting a gut instinct that it will be a use a couple of times and done sort of thing I'm definitely not getting the mansion, stock is constantly in and out and people are selling them for a super increased price elsewhere... I don't want it to be turned like her Sylvanians collection.

I wish I'd thrown the Smyth's catalogue before my DD saw it! She'd only turned over the front cover before she decided she needed the £150 Our Generation school.... plus all the other stuff that wSnt on her original list!

Haha I love it when it comes! Makes it more fun crossing off the "not a chance" list
DD1 has been asking for OG for a couple of years, it was the American Girls at first but they were £100 for a doll at the time! I find them super creepy looking but I guess I need to give in to her as it's been long wished for.

I went through the catalogue firstand ripped out the LOL mansion page haha.
DD1 went through the and picked out a few things (mainly baby doll related) DD2 wanted every single thing on every single page lol.
DD1 then started picking out what she is going to buy when she has a baby! I remember doing all this when I was little.

Agree with you re karaoke machine. I got one when I was about 11, played with it about a week. Most the time I just wanted to hold a microphone and not actually hear myself sing

I'm hoping the generation girls fit in the design a friend clothes from Argos.

I don't blame you for ripping it out it's a bane for what it is! If you buy clothes, maybe look for prem baby as they tend to fit dolls at a fraction of the price DD2 has gone through it and picked out majority of the things but a lot are what other people already have, so she wants it too.

She's going to be more fixated on the smaller things to bother with a karaoke I think.

Managed to buy some of her wishlist lastnight and today. The rainbocorns seem to be a big hit being sold out everywhere and thrown on eBay for double the price! 'Very' luckily have plenty instock at normal price it made me panic.

Urghhhh OH is being very hard! Regarding the Our Generation doll for DD1, he's refusing to let me buy secondhand outfits They're £15+ per outfit (even fitting alternatives designafriend etc). I can grab a bargain of a bundle for that price plus extra £5 with 5/6/7/8 outfits. Yet last year he was fine with me buying weebles secondhand!
