If they changed colours it's time to replace them hun. Once you start sterilising less, they dont change colour anymore xx

its the BPA free bottles I am afraid; they are more porous and thus absorb bad smells more easily. OmarsMUms idea sounds good; I also used to use a product called dr bronners sal suds its a cleaning product made out of natural ingredients, expensive but you only need a tiny drop to clean several bottles and I found it would clean absolutely any residues off (both smells and physical residues) xx

yes mine say bpa free? what does this mean?

All bottles nowadays are BPA free as BPA is banned in most countries; it is a plastic hardener; when my other son's were small bottles had BPA and consequently the plastic used was hard and non-pourous but there were concerns that the chemical could leach out of the bottles into milk and it had possible hormone mimicking effects. This is why manufacturers switched to softer but safer plastics. Personally, I use glass for small babies now and BPA free plastic when I get onto a sippy cup but replace it regularly xx

Have you had the bottles for a while? I never had this problem with Nuk glass botlles but have it with the TT bottles that are a bit old. It is harder to get the grease out of the inside of the bottle as they get older. I just change them every few months.

i knw this threat is well old but 4 anyone with smelly baby bottles, use milton steraliseing tablets. i either fill washing up bowl with cold water n add a tablet or dilute the table in a jug n pour into the bottles.

i had this problem with my little girls tommy tippie juice bottles with the hold in the middle...if that makes sense. the juice was gathering up at the bottom of the bottle where we couldnt reach it to clean with a brush, but the milton tablets have worked wonders and no more smelly bottles
