Bubs is a little over a month and smiled this morning, twice, when I was making silly faces and talking in funny voice and my daughter was "helping out". I could swear we got two smiles while he was looking in my eyes. I feel like a schoolgirl but don't want to get my hopes up. My DD started smiling at around six weeks but she was born at 38 wks.

When did your preemie smiled?

Aww I'm jealous! My lil man only smiles when he has wind. I can't wait till he smiles properly. At the minute he is only just starting to focus on us for a minute at a time x

Taken Sunday...Silas (born at 30 weeks) will be 3 weeks tomorrow.

When my boys were very young (still in the NICU) they used to smile in their sleep if I talked to them.

My daughter started smiling just over a month old and she was born at 29 weeks. The picture with the white hat, she was just a little over a month old, the one with the polka dot hat with the feeding tube was about a week later and the picture with the polka dot hat without the feeding tube was about 7 weeks actual. The nurses loved it. She was in the special care nursery not the NICU at this point (only in NICU for first 4 weeks). The nurses said they don't usually get to see babies smile like that and they loved it.

I got some big open mouth smiles yesterday for the first time! Yay x

My LO started smiling at 29 weeks gestation! Of course it wasn't a "social smile," he was probably just having mouth spasms! Lol.

well it's official, he's definitely smiling. Now when he sees me and hears my voice, he stops crying and whatever else he's doing and smiles. Melts my heart every time :)
