Yes that's right I have only just been told that SMP has gone up to £135.45 but am I entitled to the increase??

I started my mat leave on Feb 1st 2012 and got the 90% of earnings for a month and a half and then on to SMP at I think it was £127 and so many pence. But in April this got increased to £135.45 and I am still getting the same pay from work so am I not entitled to the rise???

Thanks in advance

Hi,
I started my maternity leave in December on £127 and it was automatically increased when it changed in April so you should be entitled to the increase. Hope this helps xxx

Thank you, now to battle with work
!

At the groups we go to we was all talking about it and how much we get paid and all of us that are on smp get paid different total amounts :$

SMP could be different because people earn less/more. You will not automaticially get full SMP. Also others could get enhanced maternity pay which is being topped up by their employer. Its not as simple as everyone getting the same.

Some of the girls are on same wages and only get smp no topups anf we still get different x

The thing is the government work it out and not your employer based on the test period. If your wages were slightly different during the test period ( its taken over a period of weeks) then they wil get a different amount. They could have had bonuses, childcare vouchers, overtime. All this makes a difference.
