I've been eating cheese and crackers or cheese sandwiches. Not sure how healthy, but use brown bread or wholemeal crackers with lighter fat cheese. Cereal bars or a bowl of cereal, and I eat fruit, but it doesn't fill the gap, lol
Its bad isn't it?! Last night I made mysf eat a big sales for dinner... Then ate a massive chocolate ice cream! I didn't even have a sweet tooth before being preggo.
Hey, I'm stalking you guys from the first tri forum hehe, but I'll be joining you in about two weeks, so might as well make some friends here =P
Haha sheebee, I've been feeling the same frustration about not being enticed by salads and things like that (especially because I know they wouldn't fill me up anyway), but I've been doing pretty much the same as bubba: eating whole wheat grilled cheese, lots of cereal bowls with milk and sometimes sliced bananas or strawberries, and I always have an apple and a banana next to me, even when I go to bed because I cannot get up from bed without biting an apple.
Also, having a knife handy makes it easier for me to eat my apples. For some reason I started going crazy about apples since my bf cut some for me. I've been trying to eat more tomatoes too. I don't feel like eating them by themselves but put sugar on top and eat them after my grilled cheese. Red and yellow sliced bell peppers are great by themselves too or with your grilled cheese haha... but wow some rambling that was! I hope you can use some of these ideas though
I find fruit very appealing if it's already prepared but feel
Lazy if it's not so I try to have fruit that's cut up in the fridge... Makes it convenient when the sweet tooth does attack. Also, when craving a soda, it helps having some slightly sweetened mint tea around. When I want French fries... I eat them. Terrible, I know.
Hehehe, this post had the opposite effect on me, I became super hungry after reading it and had to eat a bowl of cereal all I seem to do at the moment is eat, and it's mainly carbs, really not fancying any type of salad or veg at the moment. In fact I find them quite nauseating :/ Although oddly I do quite enjoy fruit, especially cherries, tangerines and apples x
Chop some strawberrys, banana and blueberry or any other fave fruits into a bowl and smother in yoghurt.... greek, natural or any low fat yoghurt. Helps with 5 a day and vitamins but feels like a pudding.
Jelly you can get sugar free or angel delight.
Wholemeal bread and chocolate spread with banana
smoothies are quite sweet.
you can get healthier crisps too.
to be honest though if your energy is like mine eating is the only thing that stops you feeling dizzy and sick.
Just keep walking and drinking plenty of water. Go for gentle walks and make healthy meals and hopefully itl balance out.
its not always possible to cope doing the recommended thing if you feel rubbish is it lol. Good luck hun xx
