so disapointed with my sweep! any advice?

had a sweep yesterday, later that day had pink discharge, started getting really bad pains every 10 mins and woke up today with alot of mucus and blood, sorry tmi! but now im uncomfortable but the pains stopped! is this normal or has the sweep failed? also anything that could kick start things again? Really thought that was it! x

My midwife told me a second follow-up sweep is usually pretty successful in stirring things up and getting it going.

after i had my sweep i had pains and bleeding, i was already in slow early labour and my mw said i should be ready in afew days but she was wrong lol

sometimes sweeps work and other times they dont, its all up to baby and if he/she is ready i suppose.
have a bath to help with the uncomfy feelings and dont push urself but id suggest going for a walk and bounce on a birthing ball if u have one.

i went for a 30 min walk which took me an hour but it really started the pains going

thanks ladies, still getting slightly brown discharge but the pains arent regular anymore really hope they start up again but i was only 1cm dilated. his head was very low though. unfortunatly i wont get another sweep, have an induction next week which im hoping wont happen! x

oh no why cant they give you another sweep i've got my first sweep tomorrow...hope things get moving for you soon def keep moving about am a great believer in gravity!!!
