I ended up in A & E last night at 11pm because the pains I was having in my kidney got a lot worse and that's the advice my doctor gave me. For those who don't know, I'm on antibiotics for a suspected kidney infection, but although my test results were back in my doctors surgery Friday they couldn't tell me what they were cos a doctor hadn't looked at them :growlmad:
So I waited an hour (which isn't that bad cos the board said average waiting time 4 hours!!!) and I was given my own room to sit in and they took blood and a urine sample and came back with some pain killers for me. The doctor then told me that my infection cells (or something) were slightly high, but nothing really to worry about, so I should continue taking my antiboitics, but as I was still in pain she called for a surgeon to come and look at me, which absolutely terrified me! He was only checking I didn't have appendicitis, which they estblished I don't! But I am being sent for an ultrasound on my right kidney because he thinks I could have kidney stones  but if I do they can't be treated until baby is born, which means I could be in this pain for another 4 months before they can do anything about it ...
But at least the doctors I saw last night were a bit more proactive than the ones at my own surgery and they were all really friendly  which did make me feel better, even though I only got back at like 2am and my boyfriend has recently left for work (5:30am) for his 12 and 1/2 hour shift even though he was in A & E with me the whole time
Sorry that was so long, but I can't sleep til these pain killers kick in and I was wondering if anyone else has had kidney stones when pregnant and if you could give me any advice :flower:

Hi I had kidney stones at 24 weeks pregnant with my last baby. I still have them now, I've had treatment on them and was having it just before I found out I was pregnant. If you are anything like me you will find the pain comes and goes. When I went in when I was pregnant they put it down to muscle spasms due to being pregnant but when he was 5 months old I got the pain again and they found out I had kidney stones. Because they move about the pain comes and goes x

My sisters OH was rushed to hospital a couple of weeks ago coz he fainted at work with pain.. he was found to have kidney stones, which he passed about a week or so later with no treatment, so they dont always require treatment.. if you're lucky lol!

Try and drink lots and lots of water too to flush them out! x

Ahhh, I feel your pain!! I am still in the first tri, but i got them around 7 weeks, and omg I wanted to DIE! I had never had them before so I had no clue what was going on. I ended up in the hospital as well, they say lots of water and lemon is really all you can do!

I live in fear that they will come back almost every day, it's horrible! I hope yours are gone for good!
