So Kind & Special But Sad At The Same Time...

I was at my OH's today and his mum was sitting there knitting some stuff! I asked her what she was doing and she said she was knitting some tiny baby cardigans and clothes to take up to the hosiptal for the babys that will sadly enter this world too soon just like Sophie

When I had Sophie I went into labour at 3am which I just thought were pains at 25 weeks and then 3 hours later when I went into hospital I was told I was fully dilated  I thought I was just going in to get checked out (how I wish I was ) and I therefore didnt have any time to pick up anything...not even clothes for myself...I was still in my pj's with nothing else on  lol But anyways...Sophie had on a little hat, trousers and a top that the hospital had and they were saying that they were short on things like that & ever since then OH's mum has wanted to get her knitting stuff out and help but its been too hard for her to do

So When she told me tonight thats what she was doing it made me feel really happy and proud that she cared that much...
She showed me the a little one she had knitted and I just broke down...it was the size that Sophie was and I could just imagine her in it....(im crying again now:cry:) I just wish she was knitting things for Sophie now and that she was still here!

Im sure Sophie will be very proud of her Gran for doing that. I hope you dont mind me sharing this...I just thought it was so nice of her!

Aww thats lovely of her to do that. Just think that any babies that are born early at that hospital will be dressed gorgeously in something that you can tell was made out of love. Maybe when shes finished one you could post a photo of one so we can see it :)

I wish I could help get your Sophie back for you, theres no pain worse than not being able to have a cuddle with your baby :(

:hugs: thinking of you xxx

Its a lovely thing to do.............when i lost my twins at 16wks they were giving a blanket of love which was made by local women, They got their picture taken with the blanket (which i got to keep along with footprints).
Your MIL is a very special person

Hugs to you xxx

I am so sure that Sophie is very proud of her for that as well! It sure is nice to know she isn't forgotten and this is a wonderful way of helping! I know it made me feel very thankful when the hospital gave us the knitted shirt Rebecca was put in. Someone made that with love!!!
