So ladies, I'm just curious. They always say "labor hurts like a bitch, but you forget the pain."

Did you?

:baby:

Yes definatly and can't remember some parts that may be due to gas and air tho!! x x

Heck no! I STILL have the shoulder/neck/headache pain! My 'special areas' still hurt. I still remember looking DH and my Mom in the eyes and crying, BEGGING them to make it stop hurting. I would totally do it again though, even despite the pain.

yes! The only remember from my wonderful epidural on haha! I don't remember how bad the morning sickness was either.

I'm forgetting. I didn't think I would, I'm surprised how fast it's fading.

I remember that I was in tonnes of pain BUT I forget how awful it actually was!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! It probably took 2 weeks for me to forget though!! It as been six weeks now!

Hell no! I dont think I'll ever forget how much sweated because of the pain either!

I've forgotten my recovery pains from my C. I cant wait to do it again tho, but get a chance to experience real labor pains.

I did not have any pain relief, I remember I nearly tore the jumper of OH and my eyes went crossed with every contraction, but straight after birth I did not remember a single bit of how the pain felt :hi:

I was to busy to see if my LO was alright, as she didn't cry. but she immediately routed when the mw gave her to me

its really weird cos i know it was painfull but ive also forgotton how painful it was if that makes sense?!

It absolutely makes sense!

Thats how it was for me too. And amidst my exhaustion and frazzled new mommy life, I can hardly think of anything else but doing it again soon!

:dohh:

That makes complete sense!! I'm the same! While I was in labour I remember thinking that I never wanted to have that pain again, but now I can't remember how painful it actually was...and I definitely want to do it all again :D

i think you do as i already got 3 and i cant remember much but once it starts again it all comes flooding back... if i remembered i wouldnt have had 2 never mind 4 lol

I haven't forgotten how much the contractions hurt, because I had mostly upper leg pain which really weird, but it was all in my thighs. Seriously felt like being run over. But the pushing bit... I remember it feeling really horrible but not so much painful? Which is funny, because the only thing I had pain releif for was the contractions. Didn't have any whilst pushing.

xxx

I never even felt any actual delivery pain, but the recovery was a BITCH.

Same for me, I know it hurt, that it got to the point I was begging to go to hospital to make the pain stop, but now it is all just fuzzy. I am TOTALLY up for doing it again, and this time I am going to have a nice normal birth at home!!!

I had an epidural in labour so i didn't feel too much pain. But i will never forget the traumatic delivery i had and how awful the recovery is. I was hoping for three children but i'm not sure if i'll even go for number 2. They say time is a great healer though

xx

I only had gas and air and I must admit I completely forgot straight after. I remember crying and being in so much pain I was begging for an epidural, but I don't remember it atall. I know it felt like I needed to go for a poo because that's how they realised I was ready to push, but I don't remember the pain. I remember thinking it stung like a b*tch, but again, no recollection.
