Just need to say it!
I found out I was pregnant (against the odds at the moment) last weekend. :happydance: We were both over the moon!

I still have complications from my miscarriage in October. I spoke to a doctor on Tuesday as I've been bleeding throughout and had referrals that include Xrays and electrodes....he scared the living sh** out of me talking about my increased risk of ectopic, me having strep, my other complications and how some of the different things could lead to my death and or the baby's death! :nope:

The only things that bothered me were those that were about losing the baby in whatever way, shape or form!

I'm being sent for a scan on Monday to rule out some of the worries but I basically haven't slept since I found out and I'm completely petrified about the scan.... I'm trying to avoid thinking about the scan because of it which obviously means that it's at the forefront of my mind whilst I try to stop myself.

Was anyone else petrified about their first scan?

Hugs and best wishes to everyone! :hugs:

I was absolutly petrified about my first scan! I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up in case there was no heartbeat! You don't really worry as much if you havent been through a miscarriage, but after having one its always on your mind that it could happen again! My first scan went fine though which was a relief... the fact that I found out I was having twins was a bit of a shock though lol!! I've got my 20 week scan end of March and dreading it again, I do wish my nerves would settle down lol! Hope everything goes OK at your scan, fingers crossed you and baby are both going to be Ok! xxxxx

Oh darling, no wonder you are terrified :hugs: - A story that might help, a girl I know didn't find out she was pregnant until 22 weeks. During which time, she went out drinking each weekend, had x-rays and other stupid things. Her baby is now a beautifully healthy 18 month old. These beans are little survivors. Good luck for your scan and know we are all here to help when you feel stressed :hugs:

Congratulations on your pregnancy hun, sending you love and strength to get through the wait for your scan xxxx
