Had her needles/checkup today. She only whined a bit so it wasn't so bad.

She is officially:

Weight: 15lbs 9oz
Length: 25 1/2 inches (although I think this is wrong because over a month ago the pediatrician said she was 26 1/2 and the nurse measured her in like 1/2 a millasecond, I don't think she looked right)
Head Circumference: 42.8cm

She's in the 92nd percentile for all 3 but when you put it all together she's on the 55th percentile over all. She's just a humungo baby

Also, the nurse said "absolutely no solids, not even cereal until 6 months" and kinda told me off for giving cereal. So thank god I have the drs appointment

Sounds like yr doing a great job hun x

Why is she telling you no solids at all until 6 months?? Most things I've read say some things are ok from 4 months... and, she's the nurse, not the doctor.

what a little star! 92nd percentile well done!

Im quite suprised they said that about solids considering her milk intake ... she could drink a cow dry in a day

Otherwise good to hear shes doing well hun!!

I know Holly. I kinda expected her to do that though which is why I made the dr's appointment weeks ago  I'm not listening to a nurse over my dr! I have a feeling he's going to say go ahead with the solids, considering another dr in the same place told my friend that full term babies need solids at 4 months.

She also got mad cause the dr told me to give her water to space her feeds? So I dunno what I'm supposed to do, I trust my doctor more than a public health nurse (they're like your HVs I think)

I think it depends on who you talk to over here... my doctor said cereal is fine from 3-4 months... alot of my co-workers have said the same ( i work at a hospital)... They did recommend 6 months for awhile... but most have gone back to 4.

I'm surprised too considering her milk intake. Oh well roll on to the doctors appointment :)

:happydance: Glad it went well!

I'm shocked at the nurse! Did you tell her about her formula intake?
She should be the one who deserves a telling off!

i cant believe they've said not to give her food! she's a huge baby and milk just wont do it! glad she's doing well tho xx
