Soft cervix at 29 weeks ffn test....

Hey ladies!!

Maybe some of you can help?

I went to the dr today for my weekly check up and I mentioned to her that yesterday I had horrible stomach pain, wasn't sure if it was contractions, braxton hicks or just gas! I have also been crampy and I have had some pressure. I also had a TINY spot of pink when I wiped a couple days ago. She decided to check my cervix and she told me it was closed but really soft. I wasn't worried until I asked if that was normal and she said no and did an FFN test. I haven't gotten the results back but is a soft cervix at 29 weeks really that bad??

My DF is freaking out and I"m trying to calm his nerves. We are about to go to Vegas next week for our wedding and we obviously aren't going if the test is positive.

Anyone been in a similar situation?

I really would not worry so much about it. Your cervix isn't short, or dilating and you're in the third trimester, all good signs. Some women go months being dilated, so you really shouldn't be worried about your cervix being soft.

Dont worry too much hun, At 29 weeks i was 2cm dilated but through bed rest and drugs i managed to go 37 weeks. They told me at the time that 29 weeks is quite late to be doing internal checking so it is not that is is not normal it is that everyone is different and they dont have much to compare it against x
