Solid skin looking thing

I have been chatting to people at work and explaining that many people haver mc without even knowing they had a BFP.

Previous to my MMC in Dec, i had a very wierd period. (not unusual to have irregular ones but i have never passed clots or lumps before).

The period before i had my BFP (come off microginon few weeks before), i had a very large skin looking clot, it was rubbery to touch and i would say it was about the size of a standard sized rubber (maybe 3cm x 1.5cm) It was white behind the blood (sorry if TMI).

Could this have been a mc and not known i was pregnant?(irregular periods have been going on for a lond time) and only started to
TTC end of Oct, this happend in Sept if my memory is right.


Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh hun, it sounds like what I passed in hospital 3 weeks ago and they confirmed it was the sack (i had a BO). It was a grey/white/blueish colour, same size and looked a bit like a shrimp.

No it didnt, thanks for replying MrsJD,

It just seemed really wierd to have passed something like this when i never did before, and i was not TTC then. It was not shrimp like more of a ball if i can remember rightly.

I think i will ask the doctor soon. Just incase i had another MC before my MMC. I did not have any pain what so ever, just a heavier period which did not last as long as normal (prob a day or 2).

It possibly was, I would defo mention this to the doctor.

My mc 3 weeks ago was bizzare as I hardly bleed, I passed a massive clot on the saturday, they said the blood had congealed (sorry tmi), sac on the sunday and another blood clot. My levels were back to 0 by the friday.

I'm deading my consultants appointment on wednesday as no doubt he'll shout at me for being pregnant again. This appointment is for RCM, so I'm not holding out much hope.

this sounds like somethin i had about a year n half ago. happened while i was at work, then when i went to the docs, they took a test bcoz they said if it was a miscarriage then it would have still shown as pregnant, however it came as negative.
mine was painful and alot like you had descibed.
i would get it checked out hun, talk with your doc xxx

Thanks you two. There was no pain at all just an AF which wa not expected. I know people dont like to describe what they lost when mc.

It was just very VERY unusual to pass somenthing like this. I wish i would have kept it now and had it tested. It is messing more with my head the more i think about it.


I will ring hte doctors and book a day off to talk about things and ask the questions. As i will need answers!
