Hello all, I have a 10 week old who after a feed really struggles with getting his wind up! I have spent an hour trying with no luck, and instead of bringing up wind he is sick! This is happening all the time and is causing him discomfort! He also after his bottle is very figgety. He also in the evenings mainly, spends about an hour or 2 straining just to fart! And every few days will not poo without a great deal of effort, tears and screaming! I actually think he will burst a blood vessel in his head, he strains that much! The health visitor just says it's normal but is getting too much for us both, he wakes every 4 hours in the night and it takes between an hour and a half and 2 hours to settle him back down! He is on cow and gate 1 using tommee tippee bottles! Please could someone give me some advice?? Thanks x:sleep:

I agree, Dr Brown's bottles could help.

You could also try C&G Comfort, which is designed to help with both wind and constipation. Be aware that it can take a week to 10 days to get the full effect, and they will have really stinky trouser trumps!

I used a herbal product called Windy Pops which really really helped with my LO's bottom wind. It isn't officially recommended for babies under um... I think it was either 3 or 6 months. However my health visitor (who recommended it to me) told me to use 1 or 2 drops - I phoned her to check. LO had no problems with it, and it was very helpful. Just thought I'd mention it :)

A second recomendation for Cow and Gate Comfort, its been wonderful for us.
