Hi bit of back ground I conceived my daughter now almost with no problems cycle 2 thing is I've not been on any contraceptives for almost 4 years and I haven't gotten pregnant once I'm guessing I should see a dr?

After four years if you've actively been trying and still not pregnant you should go and see someone and start the testing process to find out what is wrong. It's a long process and the sooner you start the sooner you'll be pregnant.

If your just not trying but not preventing you could be missing your ovulation window, but if you have been trying with good timing for more then 12 months and no BFP then its time to get yourself and your partner in for a fertility workup .

I second lisap2008. Definitely make sure you both get checked out before starting treatments. You wouldn't wanna go through treatments and spend money on dr. visits if it's something to do with him. Have you been having regular periods?

See I think it's definitely me I have an underactive thyroid a heart shaped womb and its tilted from January last year my period comes like clock work xx

Hey XOstacey! Reading this, it's very similar to my situation, although we have been trying for 4 years and been timing everything for most of it. The doctor told me that it would still be unusual to have had regular unprotected sex for so long and not fallen pregnant, but she did ask us if it was regular sex ect.

Anyway, I see you have a heart shaped uterus, have you had this investigated more? I was also told that I have this, and that in itself does not cause problems with concieving, but they can be misdiagnosed and if you have a septate uterus (the two get mixed up through ultrasound) then that can cause more issues. Sorry if you already knew all of this. Where are you? I know that the UK don't have much knowledge on this but in the USA they seem to be a lot keener to check on the exact type of uterus you have.

I am in the Uk and spent a long time trying to find out the exact extent of my uterus shape and finally got an MRI last month, I get the results this month so I will know more soon fingers crossed.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, I would go to your doc and get yourself referred for fertility tests if you can, the process can take quite a while. Good luck xx

Stacey..I know thyroid problems cause a lot of issues when TTC. If you carried your daughter I'm thinking your uterus should be able to carry. I'm wondering if it's just hormonal bc of your thyriod? Maybe just starting with some simple blood work to check the thyroid.
