Hi Ladies... so, I suspect that part of the reason my LO doesnt sleep so well is because Im disturbing him!!!! So... tonight, Im going to try sleeping in a different room. I am so anxious about this I dont think I'll sleep... to the extent that I think I should sleep downstairs so as not to wake OH. I want to check on him ALL THE TIME as I worry... he will only sleep on his tummy so have added worry!! But when I go in to check him or send in OH, he wakes up 2 mins later!! Can someone please tell me to stop being silly and that he will be ok?!?!?!?

That's a tough one hun... I can totally understand why you would worry, especially with LO sleeping on his tummy (as "they" only recommend back these days)-- BUT, hopefully this will help... my close friend had the same issue with her boy. He would NOT sleep on his back, period... and they tried and tried. But once he was on his tummy, he slept perfect! So... they just had to let him sleep the way he slept. I'm not saying don't try the back- I would prob try just about anything to keep my LO on her back. She had spit up issue early on though- and I worried with her laying flat, so we put her in a Pack & Play sleeper (as she would be at an angle) and she slept very well in there... I think it was more "snuggly" for her in the begining too ya know?

Have you invested in a good monitor? We have one with night vision- so we can check on her whenever needed without actually going into her room or disturbing her. Another thing a friend told me about is this device you can buy that actually sounds an alarm if baby stops breathing... she worried about her LO once she was no longer co-sleeping. If it brings your peace of mind... then try it!!!!

Best of luck hun... :hugs:

So that one thing my friend got was a 'breathing movement monitor' -- might make the most sense hun? Worth looking into... or maybe try a Rock & Play sleeper and see if he sleeps better on his back that way? Just some thoughts....

I have a monitor with a sensor pad and recommend them if you are a worrier like I am! I would especially want one if LO was sleeping on his belly x

Thanks ladies ... I have the angelcare sensor pad but he rolls off it and then I have a heart attack ... Every time!! Sigh ... Any other suggestions?!? X
