Sonoline B from Fetaldoppler- How often?

Hi: Has anyone gotten a fetal doppler from the fetaldoppler website? If so, how often do you use it and for how long? Is it safe to use? Do you use the generic gel that came with it or something else? Trying to figure out if I should use one or not! Thanks!

Hi, I got one at 13 weeks after knowing what to listen for from my doctor's appointment. I've read to no use it longer than 10 mins at a time. I'm pretty good a finding the baby's heartbeat in under a minute, I listen for a about 20 secs and then I'm done. I don't want to bombard the little one with unnecessary waves. I got a small tube of gel but I'm running out, many women have said that aloe vera is good to use so I'm going to pick some up.

I got one but wasn't easily able to hear my LO's HB until waaaay further down the line (maybe past 16 weeks). By that point I had already heard him on the scans anyway so I haven't used it very much. I'm gone 28 weeks now and get lots of powerful kicks (all. the. time.) so for me it was a waste of money. That said, I know a number of women who say they get a lot of comfort from them so it's personal choice.

They're perfectly safe to use (I used the gel that comes with it) and would be relaxed about using it virtually every day if desired x
