sooo checking cervix??

Ok i checked my cervix last night because my mw scared me about an incompetent cervix!
I had no idea we werent ment to during pregnancy and i never usually check it but needless to say now that its done i am only just finding out its not advised! Im really scared i could have hurt baby!
I had clean hands and i was very gentle, i dont think i even found it in the end!

Should i be this worried? I feel so guilty and stupid as im usually really switched on with this kind of thing! Im really starting to go crazy with stress and worry

i think its more because of infection, as long as your hands were sterile and its not done again i wouldnt worry, im sure your baby is fine! x

I'm sure it's absolutely fine! Just think of when ppl have sex when pregnant, that's going to hit the cervix a lot harder and they say it's fine to have sex when pregnant - unless you are told specifically not to. I agree with the post above and that it's more to do with infection risk x

I'm sure it's fine hun! I would imagine it's only dangerous if your constantly checking.

Yep, these ones, but since you washed your hands I'm sure you're absolutely fine. Your baby is very well protected with that mucus plug
