SOOOO C-c-c-cold

BRRRRRRRRRR!

im flipping FREEZING!

we had the gas ppl come to install a meter for us the other day and while they were installing it they said there was a dangerous leak somewhere... well an old schoolfriend of mine is a gas engineer and came to have a look... it seems somewhere in the pipework that is buried in the concrete floor of our house theres a major leak thats losing 3/4 of our gas supply in the space of 2 mins...

our gas has been capped off til we can get the pipes replaced so right now we have:

no heating,
no cooker,
and best bit of all? - no frickin hot water.


i want a bath

oh and i have my stinking horrible cold back so my nose and lips are all chapped again

im seriously considering seeing if i can take naomi and go stay with my sis/mum for a few days - she has a horrible cold atm too, really dont want her to catch pneumonia! we have a couple of electric heaters but they really dont seem to be doing much, and with a 10 month old girl trying to pul herself up on things they arent ideal to have in the room

How horrible, we were without heating or hot water for a couple of days last weekend whilst the rubbish engineers sorted our boiler out and it was two of the worst days I've had in a long time. I hope they sort it out sharpish!

it certainly is hell. i am curretly making a hot chocolate, then i am retiring to bed and hiding under the duvet.

unfortunately they can. its our pipework in our house (we own not rent) so we gotta pay to get it fixed.... GRRRRRRRRR

but luckily fil has stepped in and lent us the money, he's afraid me and Naomi will catch pneumonia too!

will hopefully be fixed weds.

well i think we'll just use lots of blankets and jumpers til then,... bought some microwaveable food so at least we can have warm meals.... i just want a damn bath!

Dammit, oddly I wish I were in Toronto right about now. I'm in Calgary. And it's -32 with the windchill (-23 without), and it's been snowing almost non stop for a week. Awesome.

EWWW!!! I am so glad it isn't snowing here yet... we are having stupid warm temps today (72 right now with tornado watch out) then we get a cold front tonight and temps drop to the 30's... stupid weather...
