Sore back

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather. I have already heard one person complaining!

The last couple of days I have had a sore back and I'm not sure what's normal or not. I'm a little worried as I am also have a bit of "pain" quite low down at the front. Not painful pain, just a bit of discomfort that I am aware of. If it was one or the other I wouldn't be so worried but as its the two together I am. Do you think it's normal and it might just be stretching pains? Does anyone else have back ache at this stage?

I have heard of back pain at this stage and cramping, they only thing to look for is if it is accompanied by bleeding or spotting. It if gets too bad I would suggest you go see your doctor.

Thanks Sandi. It's not very painful, just a bit uncomfortable so I will keep an eye on it over the weekend.

I get lots of backache now, but defo had little cramps and pulls at 10 weeks. At about that time your uterus begins to move over your pubic bone, which can cause it. If it starts to be more than a mild discomfort I would contact your midwife for reassurance though
