sore belly button

This is really random i know but my OH keeps complaining of a sore belly button. Over the past 2 years he has put quite a bit of weight on and his belly button is rather... tight, if thats a way to explain it, like mine u can see it, his it looks like a tiny little hole that just goes right in but u cant see the end of it..
anyway, hes been complaining that its sore, it has a smell to it and often pusses, he said its bleeding too and really hurts.
He dried it after the shower so i really have no clue what the problem is.
Anyone have any ideas?

It sound infected for some reason-- he really should have it looked at. No other advise hun- hope it's better soon!

ive told him this plenty of times but hes so stubborn and wont go to the docs, typical male. i will keep nagging at him though, if he doesnt i cant help him lol.
