Hey ladies!

I have yet another question for you all :dohh:

My breasts get sore around the time of ovulation (for 2-3 days) and then seem to go back to normal... UNTIL the week prior to getting AF.... They then get pretty dawggone sore up until AF strikes.

Will this scenario happen if I am pregnant? Or should the breasts NOT get sore prior to a MISSED AF .... Hope that makes sense.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :flower:

it would be hard to tell because your breast may become sore while your pregnant

Thanks! I've heard that they shouldn't start getting "pregant sore" until after AF time... So im just wondering if them already being sore is a bad thing?

no its not bad but during your 2ww i wouldnt count that as a symptom even if it could be

If your breasts are usually sore for the week before AF, I'm guessing what usually happens (this happens for me) is that a few days before AF, as your progesterone levels drop, your breast soreness will decrease. If you get pregnant, it's likely that either they will stay sore, or they will get slightly less sore for a day or so, and then get more sore again.

There's a lot of variation between women, of course, though.

From my friends pregnancy she said her BB's didn't get sore until after her AF... when she was 6 weeks pregnant. Hope thats helpful. :flower:

Its so different for everyone so too hard to tell so if your boobs normally get sore don't get too excited about that being a symptom even though you may well be pregnant. To be honest I had nothing outstanding as symptoms this time and was convinced I was out. I had loads more "symptoms" on other months when I was convinced I was only to be disappointed but it is so hard not to symptom spot. Good luck

As much as people would like to believe you can tell you're preggers from sore boobs or anything else, really you can't. Some women turn up lucky and are preggers, but much more just get that BFN after having all the same symptoms.

I had a friend who knew she was pregnant bc for the 1st time her boobs didn't hurt during the 2WW (and she was pregnant). In my pregancies, I've had barely sore boobs, like you'd have to push them really hard to feel it, at times during the 2WW, but then about 6 weeks that's when they got huge and hurt like crazy. During the 2WW when I have lots of boob pain, I know for me that I'm not pregnant. I can have an estrogen surge and that makes my boobs hurt like crazy. Progesterone can make them bigger.

Anyways, from experience and reading on these types of boards for the last 4 years I've realized that there really aren't any early symptoms of pregnancy that will guarentee a person is pregnant. Not until a person gets an BFP can they be sure they are really pregnant. Because like I said earlier, many people have 'the symptoms'...sore boobs, back ache, cm, nausea and so on and some of them will be pregnant, but many of the will not be. Just my opinion about the whole symptom thingy (and after having said all this...I still do keep up with my symptoms in the 2WW:dohh:)

I'm going to conclude from all this that most likely SORE BOOBS PRIOR TO AF INDICATE AF IS PROBABLY COMING.... :(

What DPO are you? I am 7DPO and was wondering the same thing. This is my second cycle on clomid and my dosage was upped from 50 mg to 100 mg. I ovulate on my own, but my progesteron post O is too low. Anyway, last month I had sore nipples from 2 DPO on that turned into more overall bb's soreness later on in the TWW. I was happy when my nipples felt normal pn 2 and 3 DPO since I didn't end up preggo last month. However, this morning they are sore as are my bb's and now I am afraid it is a bad sign that AF will be here in a week....blah!

Hey! Glad someone out there is with me in this :)

I am 10 dpo today... Took a hpt yesterday (obviously too early) and got a bfn....

Just reading into the signs majorly lol :)

Keep me updated! Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for this thread. I have the exact same thing and was also wondering if it would feel differently if I was pregnant. This was very helpful.
