Sorry...early scan question...

has anyone had a scan at 7 weeks and it been to soon to see HB.

We had an early scan with Kasper at about 6+3 and saw HB so should we definately see a HB at 7 weeks or is there still a chance it could be too early??

Seven weeks you should be able to see a heartbeat
I was bleeding from 6 weks to 12 weeks and could see the heart beat from 6+2

Hi hun yes 7 weeks you should be able to see a heartbeat. If not by abdominal scan then by internal. I was 7+3 at my last scan and saw bean and heartbeat straight away and that was with an abdo scan and I didnt have a full bladder as I was feeling too sick to drink anything lol. x

Agree with the other ladies, especially with an internal scan, though in a few cases if ladies are not sure of their dates and may have conceived later than they thought things might not be so far along.

I had early scans with this pregnancy at 6+1 and 7+3 and saw a heartbeat both times. I hope your scan goes well and you get to see the heartbeat.

Well i definately didnt conceive any later than the dates i have so :woohoo: for hopefully seeing HB on monday.

With kasper the scan was internally, hoping they can see this little beanie externally but as long as we get to see him/her thats all that matters.

I had a scan that early but only seen the HB from transvaginal scan x

from what i understand, if its internal you can see it that early- if its external and that early i'm not too sure you can see it.

i had one at 6+4 but they had to do it internally to see it....but a few days can make a massive difference so you should, and if not they will do an internal one. my bean measured 7mm and i had a scan a few days ago and it had grown to 20mm its amazing how quickly they grow at this time. good luck hunny xxx

I had a private external scan and the earliest they'd do it was 8 weeks.

With Kasper it was done internally and I was about 6 1/2 weeks so dont mind if they have to do it that way.

I didn't have a scan that early, so I don't know. Just wanted to wish you all the best at your scan. Try to relax (easier said than done, I know. I was sweating and shaking before mine this time around) and enjoy seeing your bubs. Its going to be amazing

Hello all, scan went great thank you.

I had my dates at 7 weeks yesterday but sonographer said beanie measured at 6+1. i dont quite believe it tho because we were able to see beanies HB externally (no transvaginal scan needed) and it would mean i conceived 9 days after doing the deed. Will wait till 12 week scan for proper date but until then will go with mine.
