Experiences with soy isoflavones please?
This is my first month off clomid and I really am unsure whether to go natural, or try soy. I had ovarian drilling a month ago also which should have helped my cycles - but as of yet, because of clomid, I am unsure how my natural cycles are going to be.

I'll add also, that my consultant said that I should NOT try soy due to it messing up cycles (though he seems to live in the dark ages frankly) - however the success stories I read tell a different side

I know it makes more sense to see how this cycle goes... after all I don't know whether I have a normal cycle now or not! And if not, go from there... I just absolutely dread things being back to how there were before clomid and want to do all I can to minimise tha

I've got it to try for next cycle. We've just had a 15 week loss so I'm allowing myself a natural cycle to see what my body does first.

Hi kitty!
Do you have any plans for future months? Femara maybe?
I think I'd stay away from the soy for now. My clinic makes us take a month off between injectable cycles and made us take a month off between clomid and starting femara and injectables, in order to let the ovaries recover. They wouldn't let me start the iui process if there were any cysts left over, so I ended up being really glad that we had that month off, it would suck to be able to proceed because I had tried something new (and I was tempted!).
My naturopath also puts me on a liver detox to help my body clear out the remainder of the drugs because they do linger in your system for a while.

Not sure if this is typical, but my month off clomid turned out to be almost the same as my months on clomid. Naturally I ovulate late, and being on clomid I ovulate about 10 days earlier.

First time I tried soy in 2012 I got pregnant with our son.

This year I took it twice. Last cycle and im 98% sure it was a chemical and this cycle and I'm now almost 6 weeks pregnant.

I am all for soy!

I'd wait for a natural cycle & then try soy next cycle. First time I tried it I conceived my daughter. Just make sure you choose a soy supplement that is just soy isoflavones - I used one from the vitabionics menopace pack & it made me ill as I was taking more tablets than recommended per day. It also had green tea & some other bits in.

Good luck & hope the drilling worked :)

Soy delays my ovulation by a week so its not for me , you dont know if it will work like clomid for you unless you try a cycle but keep in mind for some it can delay or stop ovulation all together.

I ended up in hospital with deranged liver function after taking vitex and high dose soy- oops embarrassing
